Firdaus Umutoniwase MSW, LSW
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, cultural identity concerns, family dynamics, and school-related stress. As a trained play therapist, I use creative and evidence-based approaches to help young clients express themselves, process emotions, and build resilience.
My therapeutic style is warm, supportive, and holistic—I see each client as a whole person, considering their emotional, physical, and personal experiences. I integrate strength-based and trauma-informed modalities, including Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered Therapy.
I also work with individuals facing academic pressures, self-esteem challenges, grief and loss, and interpersonal struggles. Whether helping a child work through big emotions, supporting a teen navigating identity and relationships, or guiding an adult toward self-discovery, my goal is to create a safe and empowering space. I believe true healing comes from understanding ourselves fully and embracing growth at every stage of life.
