Azure Reardon MSW, LCSW

Hello! My name is Azure (they/them). I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master’s degree in social work from the University of Illinois at Champaign- Urbana. I have worked in mental health for over a decade, but primarily with survivors of sexual assault and complex trauma. I am comfortable working with children, adolescents, teens, and adults coping with PTSD and trauma, grief, chronic illness and disability, neurodivergence related topics, anxiety, LGBTQIA+ related topics, depression, and life transitions. You are the expert on your experiences. I am here to help you process, make meaning, and move forward.

 

As someone with multiple marginalized identities, I know how important it is to create an affirming and inclusive space and strive to do so. I believe every person is unique, so I aim to meet individual needs and preferences. I utilize skills from various models such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, and Polyvagal Theory.

 

I am a firm believer that we cannot "coping skills" our way out of oppression; I am open to discussing power and privilege, and ways that your experiences may have been compounded by racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc. Your liberation is intertwined with mine. Let's get free together.
